Step Thumping Awesomeness!

Last Saturday, I was asked by my very good superfriend, Yuri, to accompany him to Cavite. Since I’m bound to go there as well that same day, we’ve decided to meet in Bluewave then drove away down south. We were supposed to meet Philip to get Taz’s dumbbells but unfortunately, the kid went out with his batchmates. Anyway, so we’re stuck in Dasmariñas and decided to go to SM and watch Step Up 3D. Frankly, I’m not a fan of Step Up. I know I’ve seen the first installment but I can barely recall what happened there. Didn’t see the second installment so I’m pretty much clueless on what to expect on this “Hello 3D'” movie that everyone has been talking around for the past weeks. Anyway, lotsa people were in line to the ticket booth and to the cinema food stop to get the free meal that comes with the movie. (Actually the meal wasn’t free because the ticket liquidation says that you paid P50 for that, and by the way, the “meal” was a small bucket of popcorn, with no drinks. I’m not kidding. Hooray!)

So anyway, upon entering inside, I wore these better-than-iMax glasses and I can very much say that those glasses were comfy enough for me to wear them until the last part of the movie. I’m not a fan of 3D movies by the way. The last 3D movie I watched prior to this was Avatar. I felt my head spinning for the first 15mins run time of the movie, and by the more-than-2hour movie ended.. I’ll let your brain cells do their thing.

So going back, I wasn’t actually bored. Maybe because the movie was well musically scored.. and I’m busy taking off my glasses and wearing them back to see the difference on the screen haha. But seriously, the movie was just amazing. I can feel my heart dancing while watching it. Very nice choreographed dance moves, great cinematography and may I just say that, along the movie, I laughed then smiled then laughed then felt the music running through my veins. I will not spoil anything so I’ll just shut up after this.

Anyway, for the 3D movie that moved me, you get 4 out 5 stars from me. Cheers! :)
