Gelatissimo offers Yoghurt Gelato!

I’ve been an avid fan of Gelatissimo from the time that they opened their store in Greenbelt 5. Just looking on their vast choices of flavors astonishes my taste buds. Anyway I like gelatos better than ice cream because its denser, its more flavorful and creamier than regular ice creams. According to About.com, gelatos usually contain more fat than ice creams but from what I know, Gelatissimo’s sorbets are 100% fat free and 90% – 97% fat free for premium dairies. Anyway who cares, if you get fat, just buy a bigger pair of jeans. LOL

Gelatissimo 2 Yesterday, while I was taste sampling gelatos, I noticed that there are new selections. They call it the “Yumminissimo Yoghurt Gelato”, offering yoghurt-flavored gelatos, garnished with Nestlé Fruit Selection Yoghurt cups! Cute! Available in Mango, Wild Strawberry and Berry. Also available in peach from another brand but I forgot to take photos of it. Sorry. :(  Yummissimo Yogurt Gelato

All along I thought they were yoghurts blended with gelato but these are not exactly yoghurts, they are creamy gelato that was made to taste like yoghurts. Thanks Gelatissimo for correcting me on this. :)

I tried the Berry Yoghurt Gelato and it didn’t fail me! I just had the small cup for the price of Php110. Not bad. Since gelatos, as I’ve said, are denser than ice creams, A small cup is enough for you to get full. This is a perfect dessert for any day! ♥

Thank you very much for the great photos and write up! We are always happy to hear of your great experience at Gelatissimo!

Just for your information, gelato does not contain more fat than ice cream. Ice cream contains up 28% fat, while gelato is 90-100% fat free.

I would also like to say that our "yoghurt flavoured" gelato is not from Nestle. We only use the Nestle product to garnish the flavour as well as to give you an idea of what the flavour is all about. All our flavours are 100% Gelatissimo. Also, yoghurt is not blended into the gelato. It is simply gelato that is made to taste like yoghurt.

Again, thank you so much for patronizing Gelatissimo! We hope to see you again and again!

@Anonymous Hi Gelatissimo! I'm so glad that you saw my entry! :) Thank you for the useful information that you stated and thank you for correcting me! Haha Maybe I should have done that interview first before leaving the store. Anyway super thanks! I can't wait til your Serendra branch opens. I'll definitely go back to your store again and again and again. :)
