Bubba Gump

I attended 2 meetings in Makati yesterday and since I was already in the area, I called a friend to have dinner with me. So when my meetings are over, we decided to try Bubba Gump. It’ll be my first time to eat there so I’m like Run, Ram Run! Like Forrest! Wee!


I love Bubba Gump’s interior, very warm and very “woody”. It feels like you’re in a country house in the United States. Anyway guess what we had, SHRIMPS!! Duh! Haha Oh it’s Bubba Gump! We ordered 2 dishes for us to share.
First, the super yummy-slash-crispy-slash-yummy Mama Blue's Southern Charmed Fried Shrimp. Served with their Cocktail sauce for dippin’, hot and crispy fries and a cup of delicious salad. Costs Php595 and can be shared by 2-3 persons.
Another dish that we had is the Bubba’s Baked Seafood and Rice. I was really famished so I decided to get a rice meal haha. Anyway, it’s baked seafood rice (obviously) with shrimps, calamari, fish, spinach in parmesan cream sauce, topped with Jack & Cheddar cheese. Sounds cheesy ‘eh? Well actually the sauce itself is too cheesy and a bit salty for me. So dig on the rice to balance the flavor and yum, perfect! For Php585, it’s good for 2 too!

Earlier, after placing our orders, the waiter approached us and asked if we had seen Forrest Gump. Well yeah, we both saw the movie already but can barely recall what happened there. So anyway, there was a game! Yehey! The waiter asked us 3 Forrest Gump related questions and if we answered those questions correctly we will be getting sundaes, for free! Yeba! It so happen that we managed to answer all 3, so dessert after our meal is expected. Fine, I kinda forced the waiter to give us clues. Haha But that was really nice of him.
And here’s my sundae, we didn’t get 1, but 2 glasses of sundaes! Awesome! Now, Bubba Gump, me loves you! ♥  +fav for ya!
